The Garden!

The Garden is coming along we can actually see some progress now!

Here is some rhubarb I've picked and am going to freeze for later after the season. We have a ton and I've never heard of green rhubarb before, but we got it!

This is our row of tomato's

We have bean sprouts that are actually up, but i liked how you could see this one trying to push it's way through the soil.

Out lettuce is up, but obviously not ready to use.

Our row of peppers we have Anaheim and then Bell peppers too.

We tie the dog up with some bailing twine while we're working in the garden, she doesn't enjoy it as much as we do.

This is an inside plant. I started some daisies from seed and they are doing pretty well so far. We also have radishes that are up and some peas. I think that I messed up the carrots so I've had to replant those. It's exciting to see things coming alive! We haven't had good weather so I like when I can go outside and work in the garden now. I'm becoming the plant lady! These are like my babies that I take care of (for now anyway). I'm understanding more and more the joys of gardening.

  1. Garden is looking good. I love working in the dirt and seeing progress made too. It is one of the most calming things I know to do. I get some of my best "thinking" and "pondering" done while working in the dirt with my hands.

  2. It looks great Katrina. I can't wait until we have our own space and enough room to have a garden.

  4. Good Job! I'm trying really hard this year not to let my garden die. Did you start your garden from seeds too?
